What happens to the food after it has been donated?
After we receive food from the donors we place it in our warehouse. Food storage is carried out in keeping with HACCP standards of hygiene and sanitation. We welcome suggestions from donors regarding the optimal ways of storing their donated products.
All donations to the Kraków Foodbank are registered in our warehousing system and a donation receipt confirmation document is issued to the donor. This allows full transparency at all stages of distribution.
Other available ways of confirming the receipt of products by the Foodbank from its business partners include hand-over reports, “goods issued” notes, invoices and donation contracts.
Our number one priority is maintaining the safety of the food products we are in charge of.
Our staff are required to undergo all necessary training including HACCP standards, occupational health and safety, forklift and freight elevator operation training.
We have access to 1250 square metres of storage space as well as a 50 square metre cold room.
We use two delivery vehicles kitted out to support the transportation of frozen and fresh goods
We guarantee swift and on-time collection of high-bulk food donations
