The daily operations of the Kraków Foodbank are made possible thanks to the help of a team of volunteers supporting us with their knowledge, skills and talents. It is owing to their work and their sensitivity to the needs of others that we can fulfil our mission and expand our work.
We often leave it up to our volunteers to decide how they would like to support the Foodbank, but if they have no specific vision for their participation we are always there to help them shape it.
The tasks performed by our volunteers can be linked both to office and warehouse work. We’ll always find a spot for school kids, students, people helping out beside their normal work, but also retirees and pensioners. No matter your age, there’s ways you can help out.
The types of work that we look for volunteer support with
- Office work – correspondence work, archiving documents
- Promotional work – updating the website, designing fliers and folders
- Network administration, IT support
- Monitoring partner organizations – control visits at non government organisations
- Expert assistance – financial and legal advice, translation work
- Warehouse work – unloading shipments, help with food distribution
- Help preparing and carrying out charity campaigns like the Christmas Food Collection
If you’re feeling unsure if you can meet the challenge, don’t fret! We are here to help and support you in your volunteer work. At the beginning you can start with smaller tasks in order to get you going and start getting to know our organisation a little better.
